August 30, 2016 Wilburn families, I want to make you aware of an incident that is affecting our school today. Around 9:20 this morning, school administration detected an odor on the campus. Per protocol, we immediately contacted 911 and evacuated the building. The first department investigated and determined the cause to be a gas leak in the neighborhood nearby. The evacuation lasted approximately 40 minutes. I am pleased to report that students evacuated in an orderly fashion and were safe the entire time. At 10:00 a.m., after our school building was deemed safe, we were able to return. While it was an inconvenience to our students and staff, we are able to complete the school day without any issues. If you have any questions or concerns, call the office at 919-850-8738. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation. Lutashia Dove, Principal
